Final drive mods

I´ve very recently got a GSXF600 (on an R plate) which as far as i cn tell is a Bandit with a full fairing? Its a fabulous bike and i love the fact that it is so tractable, my biggest problem is that it feels so manic in the mid-range. I´m not an agressive rider (for the most part) and plan to use the bike as my main transport so alot of the time will be spent on short trips ( sub 50 miles) at motorway and dual-carriage way cruising speeds, has anyone heard or know of an option that exsists out there for bringing the gearing down a shade. I want to just plod along and at the moment it sits in top gear at 70mph doing 5-5,000 rpm, i know it revs out at 12k+ but i´d like to sit there at 4,000 rpm or lower and not feel like the bike is %&#!¤ at me for going so slowy! The obvious quick fix would seem to be fitting a slightly larger front sproket, does anyone know if Suzuki final drive shafts are standard and can take a selection of sprokets? Other than this small problem the bike is fabulous, it had Renthal flat bars fitted instead of the Clip-ons which makes for a more comfortable position. As for add-ons i´d like to hear a bit more noise so i think a new pipe might be on the cards soon, lets see how long the ummer lasts first!!

If anyone has any helpful advise please get in touch: n.mclaren@hotmail.com
