I´ve turned 50,000kms in 2 seasons on my ´01 B12. No issues - one valve adj @ 27,000 - oil change every 3,000kms. Some early build ´01´s had softer pistons, so I´ve heard, hence the ´oilers´ - mine is a later build (May ´01) and I think they went back to the hardened pistons - I´m not 100%, but mine is just perfect, and I´m reluctant to get anything newer - although I have a love affair with the new R1.
