I did find a NOS tank on the internet (can´t remember where) but they were asking $380. Needless to say I didn´t purchase the tank. What I did is this: After stripping the tank completly, I took it to an awesome welding tech and had him weld the whole bottom lip of the tank (where I had my gas leak). Then I used acid to clean all the rust from the inside followed by a nuetralizer and then a sealer. Tank is painted and back on the bike working fine. Probably not the easiet way to go and definitely not the quickest but it will work. |
