The 3400cc refers to the oil capacity at oil change or as Im guessing you are in the U.S. thatll be 3.6 US quarts. Oil and filter change requires 3.6 litres or 3.8 US quarts. Whilst a total rebuild from dry will need 3.8 litres or 4.0 US quarts of 20w/50 engine oil. Hope this helps, Cheers for now, Ratbloke.
