I have just bought a GS 750. Having trouble getting the thing to run properly. Have had the carbs balanced but no difference. I have put in unleaded but should I put in LPG instead. It has electronic ignition, new leads, plugs, caps etc.

It will start first time but will backfire and sounds very lumpy. Have tried advancing and retarding the the timing. The carbs have been stripped and cleaned. I dont know what else to try now.
