Just got this 1979 Suzuki GS550. Looks like it had been sitting awhile. Cleaned it up pretty good. It had some gas leak coming from looked like the carbs. Decided I would tear into them to find the problem. I didn´t have a book yet, but went ahead with my disassembly anyway. No big deal rite? Now that I have the book it tells me not to touch the small jet with the colored paint seal. Well I didn´t see any colored seals in there. I had already removed all jets and parts and cleaned carbs. This jet (one in each carb), apparently, is preset at the factory and not to be disturbed, ever. The carb performance can be severely affected. Since I´ve removed mine, I need to know if anybody out there could give me a starting point? Or maybe point me in the rite direction. Even if I could get them kind of close. You know, like are they 1/2 turns out to start, 1-1/2 turns, ect. ect.. Thank You Desperate |
