Hi Steve,
From what I have read the Z designation denotes the bike as an 82 Katana 550. Thanks for the owners manual info. , I have found the horsepower figures to be listed differently, anywhere from 50 to 54 BHP. Maybe it depends on whether the bike is a U.S. , Canadian or European model. I am rebuilding an MZ right now, has about 35,000ks on it, I hope its worth it in the end! How do you like riding the MZ?
