I have removed the emblems. Got in argument with parts dept. When I told them 550L. They said had to be a t .. anyway I can tell by the vin? Picked up had been sitting 9 years.. first 2 months were hell.as was my only form of transport. Once I unscrambled the wiring harness.. stator wires were twisted till broke. And got vacuum pump on peacock pumping this bike has been a blast.. I picked up an 82 650e and borrowed all the good stuff.. found the 650 carbs where horrible but their jets in my stock carbs cleared alot of problems. .I´m wondering how much is interchangeable? Especially gearbox parts.. I missed 1st to 2nd shift when really on it.. since I pop out of second. . Also wondering effects of 650 i jugs and pistons.. is it a change in bore or stroke .. also need improvement to %&#!¤ clutch actuator design. . Mine bends around like a beer can.. 1 day clutch pulls easy next its all I can do to pull.. I have also put on the rear sprocket from 650.. 50 to 45 teeth.. Dropped rpm from 5100 at 55 to 4200 at 55. 56-58 to the gallon.. I only way 145 it really moves with just me on.. passengers and I have to make it work.. my son is 6´1 305 and it pulls us around well .. any advice appreciated. . Plz only if you have personal experience. I have learned alot about this bike since May and have learned that most ppls theories don´t apply to these bikes..
