I know personally, if you are buying a ´02 or later model you should definitely invest in a pair of sliders. A lot of people have cracked their fairings and those are expensive to fix. So buy a pair of $50 sliders. These bikes are REALLY good to start on though. They´re not to heavy and they are easy to ride. Also they are fairly cheap.
