I just went and looked at a GS 550E. I have looked into the bikes and see it as a good buy, however it is too tall for my girlfriend, who would be the primary rider.

Question to anyone who may know. Can I lower the overall heigth by putting on shorter rear shocks and if needed, puting shorter front forks on? I really like the bike, and I would hate to have to pass on it for a reason that I may be able to fix. Response to my E-mail would be greatly appreciated.
