My GS500 is totally standard and yet believe it or not I can keep up with much more powerfull bikes like the Bandit 1200 on twisty roads or in traffic, thanks to my GS´s fantastic handling, and at 5.4 seconds from 0 to 60mph I have never been beaten by a car from the lights yet. I use standard size tyres, however they are not the usual Bridgestone Battlax BT45 H-rated crossplys´s normaly fitted to the GS500 but Michellin Macadam ZR-rated radials. These and armstrong gold sintered racing pads, front and rear, totally transform the GS into a supreme handling machine. |
