I´m buying a begginers motorcycle. I´m being offered a 1981 Suzuki GS 450 and a 1981 Yamaha XJ 650 Maxim.

Of course there´s a 44% increase in machine size and about 30 Kg (about 60 lbs) in weight. There´s also a 2 in-line vs a 4 in-line machines.

Can you comment on how you perceive these motorcycles as beginners (pros & cons)?
