hi, ive just completed a trip to cornwall, newquay, from york, uk.
my gn250 is a 1991 model, almost original, except for a couple of changes i made to go long distance, 783mls round trip. i put straighter bars on, and better grips, to stop arm + neck ache, also another seat, which is flat all along, and made the riding position very comfy,[no butache].i ran the bike at 100ml stages, with no probs at all.except the odd top up of eng, oil.it cruised along at 65mph, all day. the only slight prob was on the return trip, when i thought an exhaust valve had blown, when infact, it was the baffles in the pipes that blown through, causing lack of power at full throttle.ive now fitted a copy silencer and its fine again. all in all, the bike ran superb, and i would reccomend it for any trip, or just for town work. 10 out of 10. mal
