My Jackal was first registered in the UK 1999 - the first year you show in the database is 2000 - different countries or different models?

Compared to the Cali, the Jackal has very little extraneous crap attached such as chromed pedal covers, fuel inlet pipes etc & in my opinion, is cleaner & nicer for it - the servants dont need to spend all weekend cleaning the chrome every time I´ve been out in bad weather!!

Mods I have fitted include:
Twin front discs - she now has superb stopping power using 2 fingers only

Windscreen - I don´t have fly spattered teeth anymore

Floorboards - we regularly do a 530 mile haul up to Scotland on our bikes. I have an 40+ year old foot injury (T-boned on my BSA Gold Star by a tin box driver) and I can now get off the bike and chase our lass or run into the bar without a limp. Superb comfort.

I tried to bolt an accessory on the Guzz (skinny blonde biker chick of slightly less than 35 years with tattoos and piercings) but our lass put her foot down and said I could fit some panniers instead. So.... I fitted a Givi hard luggage set - panniers and top box. Superb piece of kit if you are touring and the handling is totally unaffected providing you don´t overload them.

I am in the middle of machining a used sump so that I can fit an external oil filter - having to undo 18 bolts to change a filter is not my idea of fun. I intend to blank off the oil filter housing inside the sump, remove the oil gallery blanking screws at the front of the sump, attach a filter housing and route the oil through an external screw-on filter. Will let you know how the mod turns out.
