I have searched all over the web and can´t find a free maint manual. Guess I´ll have to buy one. The rear shock and front fork have springs. You can increase the pre-load on the rear shock by turning the adjuster with a spanner to increase the spring pressure. I don´t think the front fork is adjustable as far as pre load. You will have to find new springs for it. What we used to do in the 70s was drill a hole in the top caps of the forks and tap it for a schrader valve. Then you can pressurize the fork and take the springs out. It would work on some forks but blow the seals out of others. You could just pressurize it a little to help out a worn set of springs.
