Scored my DR from a starving university student back in 90´ paid $1200 bucks with 3500 miles on her, 2nd year i´d seen it sitting untouched. This bike was a bloody blast right from the get go, awsome grunt power, and a fuel tank i could squeeze 22 liters into.My DR was rode hard and put away wet 95% of the time..to this day i can still walk that bike a city block with a crack of the throttle(love that motor). My buddy has a new DR 650 but it´s like comparing old street muscle to today´s, mine´s got chunky right now power.. his ..kinda like electric horse power.handling is great but this is a tall cycle so some corners can be intimidating..suspension is very good to me..super lighting..and a very throaty exhaust tune.I was 22 then and am really astonished that aside from a set of pads and shoes, new bars, countless mirrors and turn signals,1 set of clutch plates,1 kick start lever,1 decompression cable, tires as needed, this bike still runs ..strong as ever and has been spared any major dents or scratches.Today you will find 23,000 miles on her o.d. and every one has a story..so to sum it up, it was the best beer money i ever spent with exception to that weekend in winnipeg that same summer.....ahhh to be 22 again...snows gone ...i´m goin´ fer a ride.....ride on DR brothers..
