I had a 2005 Suzki S50 and this spring purchased a new 2007 s83. What I liked about the S83 is the fact that it´s a lean cruiser and they have maintained the simplicty of the design and not overblown with lots of plastic build-outs or additional gauges I don´t need to look at). There´s a single gauge for speed and km´s (I just reset the trip metre to know when it´s time to tank up...don´t push it over 200km´s per fill-up). It´s a nice handling bike and being 6´1 I like the high seat position. The immediate difference to the s50 is all in the engine and it´s got the go when you need it and is great on the highway...this engine rumbles in comparison to the s50 and it´s a real nice sound. In a world where everyone seems to be looking for fatter bikes...my monies on the s83 it´s lean and mean when it needs to be and for my frame size of 6´1 it´s where I should have started in the boulevard series. I have put on just over 2,500 km´s on this bike and recommend it highly! ~Patrick in Kingston, Ontario
