| This has happened twice to me now. the first time, my bike had sat for about a week and when I went to ride it, it started fine. I let it warm up about 3 or 4 minutes and then went on my way. I got about 100 feet from my house and the bike died. No power, no nothing. The electrical system just shut off. I couldn´t get the bike started at all, the intrument panel wouldn´t light up and I had no head light. I ended up pushing it back home and when I would get the panel to light up, when I would push in the ignition switch, there would be an audible click and then everything would go blank. I finally got it started, don´t ask me how, drove to the dealer, who had it for a week. They found nothing, absolutely nothing, they didn´t have any issues with it at all. Fast forward 2 months, same thing, with numerous rides where it performed beautifully. Now granted the bike had sat for a month without being ridden or started, but it only sat for a week the first time. This time, it took me numerous times of rocking back and forth to get the panel to light up, but then the click and everything goes dead. After about 15 minutes of struggling, I got it started, let it warm up about 10 minutes and took the long way to work to try and rev up the engine and get some gas and oil to start moving through it. Has anyone else had this issue. I am afraid to take this bike anywhere now for fear of being stranded. I am even considering getting rid of this bike to get something else if this is going to keep happening. Any ideas anyone? |
