The breed simply has a backfiring problem. I have a friend who took his Suzuki C50 to his dealership to cure a backfiring problem. They worked on it but couldn´t stop the backfire. These bikes just run very lean. My friend´s fix is to leave the choke lever out about .25 inches, that cures the C50 backfire. Good Luck!
