Fuel Leak when reconnecting battery/power commander

New to this, but I disconnected my battery to go get it charged and when I went to reconnect it, the lights would work, but when I connected the power commander, fuel would start leaking from the tank as if the fuel pump was running even when I have the ignition off. Any one know what it could be or ever had this problem? Thanks
