My 2008 C50T has the bolts facing just like yours, with the head of the bolt inside the bag. It´s a little complicated to reach them, but doable. Facing the other way, I thing you would have issues with bag contents (or knuckles) coming against the threaded end of the bolt. I´ve taken mine off for cleaning also, and I´m sorry, I don´t remember having a problem with the fender being loose afterward. Wish I could help with that. Oh, and how about that helmet lock mounted under the left saddle bag?? Good luck with that fender... |
