Greetings everybody. I´m the Chief of Police in a little northern Oklahoma town called Medford. I´ll be 64 next month with just a few years left to retirement. Back in my 20´s and early 30´s I rode a motorcycle a lot, riding 50 miles round-trip every day to and from work. I easily put 100,000 on one bike or another back then...mostly Kawasakis. When I sold my last one, the wife decided to keep me off of them. Fast forward to a year ago. The wife insisted on getting a little dog (yorkie) that I didn´t want. I decided since she got something she wanted that I didn´t, that I would get something I wanted that she didn´t...a bike. Started with a Kawasaki KLR650 enduro, but it was too tall for me. Found my way to an ´05 Suzuki Boulevard with about 6k miles on it, and love it....not quite as much as I loved my Kawasaki Z-1, or even my Kawasaki GPZ-550, but I do love going from a chain to a shaft drive. While I´ll putt around town bare headed in a t-shirt, when I leave town, I have jeans, boots, my mesh jacket, riding gloves, and full-face helmet...even tomorrow when I go to a family reunion in Ponca City, about 45 miles away...in 105 degree heat. That´s how I rode in my younger days, and I haven´t changed my ways.
