I have an ´03 model. Fitting a slip-on allows the bike to rev more freely. Definitely worth the cost in my opinion. I have an Akropovic. The will need slight rejetting. Best to have someone who knows Bandits to do it, not just any bike mech. Apart form this leave it alone. Great bike!
