Zx12R Igition switch problem

Help me please, when ignition switch is left in off position and not locked for a few minutes bike will not start.Switch must be put in locked position and then try again and it will start.This happened after removing a faulty immobiliser.It is a pain.Any ideas welcome.Thanks Denis (Ireland)
