Hi there

I´m thinking of buying a superbike, and have narrowed down my choices to these two monsters: 2000 model Kawasaki ZX9R, and the 2000 model Honda CBR900 FireBlade.

I have read many, many reviews about the two bikes, comparisons, opinions, etc... But there never seems to be a clear winner.

I would like to hear from real riders, who have ridden (maybe even owned) both of these.

I want a bike for breakfast runs, touring, back-street racing, commuting, pose-value! I´m also looking for quality that will last.

I realise that this is an enormous question, but I don´t want to spen Thousands on the wrong choice, simply due to my ignorance as far as superbikes go.

I´ve never owned a superbike, closest thing was a 1974? 76? 500cc Yamaha (ex-Traffic cop bike). Engine seized on this old bad-boy, and now it´s time to upgrade, big-time!
