| I have just purchased the 02 Kawasaki ZX9R and I have to say I am pretty pleased. I currently own a 07CBR1000RR and purchased the ZX9 as a play bike. Once I picked it up the bike was such a great deal and look to be in great condition so I didn´t even test ride it. Well anyway once I did get it home I took it out for a spin I found that the bike was a Cadillac with the long and wide body compared to the new CBR but it also had the Cadillac power in the straight aways. That kinda bothered me at first because I like to play. Well once I drove off on the bike and started to hit the throttle a bit I noticed this bike was meant for something. It was a drag bike in the works. It is fast! I would have to say it is just as fast in a straight line as the CBR but the ZX9 is a lot easier to keep on the ground which in turn gives you a lot better start. When you enter the twist´s the bike is a bit bigger and heavier so it doesn´t toss around as good as the CBR but I am a 155lb rider so maybe I am just a smaller guy for this less nimble bike. All in all this bike looks sharp and drives great. I would give it a 8.5 out of 10. |
