2001 zx-9r, my bike runs normally in the 175 range, so i beleive 100+ is normal. the electric fans kick on when the bike reaches somewhere in the 200+ range. My bike has gotten that hot on a three and a half hour ride to los angeles in the middle of summer. I am really not sure when to start worrying temp.
