I have what you guys may describe as a stupid question however here goes. I am a new rider and have purchased a 2000 zx900cc Ninja. Love the bike its crazy fast!! Anyway, I have been riding it for about 3 months now and have always believed that you shift down once and up three times. (As told from the person I bought it from) Is this correct? A buddy of mine thinks it should shift up at least 4 or 5 times. Any help you can send my way would be greatly appreciated as I might have a gear or two that needs repaired. Thanks!!
