yes, i had the same problem. i now wash the bike while it is mounted on paddock stands, and i don´t use a power wash any more. be careful when using the front stand because there is limited room available. the bolts on the cups tend to foul the brake disc.
as for the top speed, i don´t know. but early one morning ihad over 140mph on the a5 tamworth by-pass, but it wasn´t very comfortable. bike magakine says it´s good for 150+
