You might try Nelson-Riggs. They have some great soft saddle bags. I have them on my Kawasaki Vulcan 800a and my Vulcan 500 also. They come with everything you need to install. You need no brackets. Theey mount under your saddle. It keeps them secure. You just tie it down with straps and your good to go. They´re also relatively cheap. You can buy them for around $50 to $70 dollars. Good luck.
