I just bought a second hand bike with 3500klms on it in mint condition. I´ve read the reviews - www.motorcycledaily.com, www.motorbyte.com, www.mcreports.com, www.activebike.com and www.motorcycleworld.com. Love the bike, plenty of torque over the complete rev range. There´s a huge storage area under the seat. The bike is real easy to service, has a centre stand and the rear suspension linkageas all have grease nipples. I find the seat and the riding position quite comfortable. The bike feels well balanced and lighter than it´s figures would suggest. It´s really economical. I did 300klm of riding up and down a mountain range and only used 15.5 litres! There are some down sides - I feel like there should be a 6th gear (I traded my 1990 GPz900R A7 Ninja for this bike and it had 6 gears, so that may also account for that some what). There is some vibration. The mirrors are quite narrow once the levers are rotated so that your wrists aren´t cocked when you use them. The pilion seat has such an angle on it that the pillion is constantly using their thigh muscles to stop themselves from sliding into your back. (my pilion was only 12 and a heavier person may not have the same problem when the suspension is weighted down a little more). I also found that anything over 100klm/hr for more than 30 minutes puts a strain on my neck but this would be fixed with a small headlight fairing - something like that off a Ducati monster or Buel. Holeshot make a nice Buell copy. Some neat pics at www.zr-7.com/Images/ and http://zr7.ifrance.com/zr7/
