I just tore the assembly apart last night. You might not need an entire switch . If your ignition turns to it´s four points through the key then you don´t need a new ignition assembly. If you dig into the head lamp housing, you´ll find that there is a wiring harness that goes to the base of the ignition assembly. With two small screws on either side, you can remove the electrical harness and replace it. All the key does is twist a position rod that´s rectangular. The rod goes all the way through the ignition housing and comes out the bottom and intersects with the electrical harness in position below. You don´t need new keys, or a new ignition housing. All you need is a new electrical ignition harness.
