According to the service manual the float level is 17.0mm.
That is from the carb bowl mating surface to the highest point of the float itself.

Have you had any problems with the tachometer? I have had two of them quit on me. The first one was replaced under warranty, but then that one quit a few years later. They are electronic and according to Kaw they are not repairable; only replaced.
