How difficult is it to change the starter switch (or Starter button) on a GS1100GK? I think I have narrowed it down to that being problem??? It is not the solenoid or the battery. I can engage the starter by using a screwdriver at the solenoid by touching one post to another. I can also engage the starter by touching two wires together at the wiring harness under the fuel tank. One of these wires goes to the solenoid, the other disappears up into what looks like the switch at the handlebars. This tells me, someone who is not a mechanic, that the only place the problem is , is in the switch. I can press on the starter button all I want and it will not engage the starter... If anyone can shed some light and confirm I will attempt to change the switch....
