Thomas, your message offering to answer tips is over a few years old, however, I thought it wouldn´t hurt to try to re-open the lines of communication with you. I recently bought an ´81 750 LTD that needs some repairs. For starters, my bike doesn´t have a starter button. Any ideas on what I could do to get one, or else subsitute it with another mechanism?
