Hi jeff, You are curious whether to fix the bike or not, depends on the initial shape of course, however your efforts will not be for nothing, I owned one bought new in 1980 and made the mistake of selling it 3 yrs later, I just bought 2 on ebay, I think these bikes are what all cruisers can be measured to when running correctly.
