Sometimes with older motorcycles the fuel filter gets plugged and/or the lining of the fuel tank sluffs off and particles block fuel flow. It sounds from your discription of problem that the fuel is blocked (at the very least) somehow. Had a similar situation-tank relined approx. $100.00 and new fuel filters and hoses. *Hopefully you won´t need a carburator overhaul too??
