Could be. Depends on which gasket needs to be replaced. Think of it this way though, the bike really isn´t worth that much besides sentimentally so if it is something serious it is probably much more serious so your gonna need to drop some cash. If I were you I would replace the gasket and put my faith in Kawasaki engineering.
