problem with power |

I just put a brand new battery on my bike today. It was charged for 12 hours. Like an idiot, I filled the dry battery with the acid in the battery´s exhaust vent as opposed to filling each chamber individually. I did notice many bubbles that never seemed to come out of battery. I took the bike for an 11 mile ride and the bike died out. I noticed, before I left, the lights were dim and the signal indicators were very slow to blink. Anyway, after the bike died, I let it sit for 10 minutes, rolled it to popstart it and it ran for about 3 minutes before it died out again. Repeated the process, made it home and it died out when i hit the brakes, (probably drawing power from the battery). Does anyone think I didn´t charge the battery long enough?, or that I put the acid in incorrectly?, or that it could be an alternator-like problem? |
