Won´t start.

I just bought this 440 ltd a month ago and have had it running a couple of times but it kept getting harder and harder to start. Now when I try to start it all it will do is make a click noise once and do nothing else. I bought a brand new battery and fully charged it, but it still will only click when I press the engine start botton. All the lights come on properly when I turn the key so the bike is getting power. I´m not sure where to start to fix this problem because I have very little experience with motorcycle repair, but I bought the workshop manual and am trying to figure it out. Any suggestions on a place to start?
