i recently purchased a 1980 kawasaki LTD440.
This bike hasn´t been run in years, so I drained the tank, took the carbs apart and cleaned them, modestly, put new plugs and battery in.

Turns over great, eventually starts, after which the initial throttle turn makes the bike kind of bog. If I "rock" the throttle back and forth quickly as it is running, I can get the bike to rev better.

I let the bike run for about 15 minutes or so, and it seemed to run better, but each time I start it it bogs.

Any ideas?
