After 10 year Storage Pre Start-up Help |

I recently inherited a ´82 Z 440 LTD and it has been sitting in a garage for 13 years. When it was put in the garage there were no any long term storage preparations done (i.e. fuel still in tank, etc.) I don´t want to just charge the battery and turn it over. Instincts tell me that, at the very least, I should: 1) Drain the fuel tank, 2) Change the oil 3) Spray some lubricant into the spark plug holes 4) Replace fuel, air & oil filters What else should I do to prep the engine before I attempt to fire it up after such a long period in storage. Thanks for the help! Dan |
