Bought my Vulcan new this year, price was very reasonable compared to other bikes of similar size. Despite the rather small engine displacement, this bike will FLY! Has awesome acceleration, and can maintain 65 to 70 mph highway speeds with ease. One drawback at these speeds is the wind buffeting which makes for a somewhat uncomfortable ride. The engine is based on the Kawasaki Ninja engine, and it shows! This little hummer can leave a 600 Honda Shadow in its dust, and I suspect could hold its own with even larger bikes. Its performance is really unbelievable, even with a 250 lb. rider. Have had no problems at all with this bike. Styling is superb. Again, the only fault I can find with it is that the engine is so powerful, the frame needs to be heavier for a smmother ride at high speeds. Love it! |
