| Hello Shutterbug, I entered a comment about windshield and saddlebags on this forum a few days ago. /if you missed that one I hope you see this one. I have a 2005 EN500 with just over 2000 miles now and love it. I purchased saddlebags from my K dealer in Palm Bay Fl and paid about $60 more than I could have bought them online for. Tourmaster slant bags. they are made of some kind of plastic that really looks and feels like leatherbut it is actually supposed to be more weather resistant than leather. (imitation leather they call it) Seems like some really good material. Very nice throwover which I mounted under the seat but they can still unzip from the center piece(I would call it a yoke but I don´t know it´s proper name) for quick removal if you wish. Of course then I needed Saddlebag support brackets. My local dealer wanted $175. Yikes!! Again online is much better deal. Seems there is only one manufacturer that makes a lot of stuff for the EN 500 and that is in Europe and now I cannnot remember the name. Sorry. Anyway they are real nice and were only about $60 including shipping. Off course if money is no object you may opt for something real nice like Ghost Brackets. The Windshield I ordered right off the official Kawasaki website. Very nice windshield and was just under $200. Local dealer wanted over $300. The installation took all of 15 minutes. Good luck. |
