I bought mine back in May. I love it, handles great. Only think I noticed is exactly what you said at high speeds around 70-80, the handling becomes more intense with the wind. I notice the older vulcan 750 had a rubber encasment around the motor for less vib. Model dicondinued. Still for the pricew you can go wrong with the 500.
