I was a Kawasaki Dealer until last year. I have never heard of the problem you are having and don´t recall any recalls or service bulletins. The only item with a bulletin on the drive train was the need to re-check the torque on the front drive sprocket. Suggestion, call around to the different dealers and see if you can find one that will go to bat for you with Kawasaki. I found that they may not help with everything, but if there was a problem that showed up more than normal, they did help out with the repair to some extent.
