I was wondering how many of these were made for the 2005 year? I just bought mine from Bowcycle in Calgary, Alberta because I couldn´t get one in Saskatchewan. The dealer thought there may only be 100 in all of Canada but wasn´t sure. I love this machine. I rode it to a Harley test drive day and after riding several different new Harley´s for the day, it was a treat to get back on my Vulcan. The shifter is easier to use (you don´t have to lift your foot) and the weight keeps it on the road. The Harley Vrod was bouncing all over the highway in the wind because the solid aluminum wheels were affected by the strong gusts from the side wind and the front end was far too light. The Harley Ultra Glide was underpowered for the size and weight of the bike. I love being able to crack open the throttle of the Vulcan and pass someone with no hesitation or concern about the wind...this is a safety feature for me compared to other bikes I have had. I am looking for a detailed service manual and a better seat for my passenger. Corbin makes one but it doesn´t appeal to me. I also noticed that my front wheel throws mud up on my radiator and wondered why Kawasaki didn´t make a better design in that area. I noticed a much more functional system on a Harley VRod. It had a solid black metal center cover where the mud gets thrown up but has an air intake on each side. The front of it is quite stylish and concave. It is just a protective cover in front of the radiator so maybe it would even work on the Vulcan. I haven´t put enough miles on it yet to put it through some challenges but certainly am impressed with the increadible torque it has in every gear. It would be nice to post some pictures here. I would also like to be able to talk to Kawasaki and ask questions like how many Limited Editions were made and sent to North America...or even the world.
