Accessory connection for aftermarket light 2008 1600 Nomad

I have installed a set of driving lights on my 2008 1600 Nomad and can’t seem to find good accessory connection for these lights. I’d rather use an ignition source than a switch. The connections I have found are confusing, because when testing with a test light the connection blinks, shouldn’t it be a steady “on” rather than blink? Any help would be appreciated
