Hey, I had the same problem, though not as bad. If you look at the cap when it is open, there is a small hole at the bottom, this is probably sealed up from the gas hitting it when you fill it, especially if you are prone to get every drop possible into the tank, and gumming up the release valve, which is probably a spring-loaded ball-bearing in a \
