Does anyone know the deal with the tires for this bike. First, I´m just below 6K miles and it appears to be time to replace them... that was fast... what happened to getting 10 K?

So I call the local tire shop... $320 just to buy a front and rear tire!

Also, the guy in the tire shop said I really did not have any options, that this bike has specially sized tires front and back and if I put something else on I´ll have handeling problems. I don´t want handeling problems, my commute is a vertical mile, handeling problems would be baaadddd.

I thought I saw some brigestone tires that looked to be the correct size... Has anyone tried them?
